Hurricane Joaquin

"Hurricane Joaquin batters Bahamas as U.S. braces for 'historic' floods" from USA Today by Doyle Rice and Doug Stanglin (Oct. 2, 2015), informs about the effects that will come from the Category 4 hurricane Joaquin.  As Joaquin lashed through early in the month in the Bahamas, the U.S prepares to receive harsh weather conditions around the east coast. Even as a Category 4 Hurricane, Joaquin is likely not to hit the U.S directly however, it will batter the east coast with heavy rainfall. Joaquin has been expected to have rain floods of 8 inches around the Carolinas. Hurricane Joaquin winds peak at a high of 130 mph around the central Bahamas.
